The first International road race of the year is finally here, As with all things in Northern Ireland the weather will be the biggest issue. The forecast for the week is not great at present. Tomorrow (Tuesday) looks to be possibly not to bad a day. The big issue for the teams I would imagine will be tyre choice's. Temperature for the week is ranging from 8-10 celsius with the chance of showers. Should make for some interesting results. Right thats me, Update tomorrow night with some photos from the tuesday practise. So another week and another road race, This time Tandragee 100. As I had been travelling down the rain clouds were starting to gather in the sky. And sure to form it started to rain. The organisers decided that with the roads being so wet that it would not be a normal timed practise but a controlled five laps. As the evening went on the roads started to dry and certainly you could see the riders were starting to benefit from the drying roads. The practise was then red flagged as a rider had come off and was in critical condition, With fading light and not much time left of the evening the organisers decided to cancel the rest of the practise evening. As for the condition of the injured rider the last update I had was he was still critically ill, I hope he makes a full recovery my thoughts are with his family and friends. So North West 200 next, lets hope for good weather. Pics are Here The First Race of the Road Racing Season, And if this meeting is the way the rest of the year is to go its going to be pretty exciting. The Cookstown Club were lucky to have had two good dry days although a bit nippy at times. Photograph wise the conditions were not bad, few changes in light conditions but at least it was dry. So lets hope Tandragee gets the same weather. Gary Click Here for Photo's So the 2nd Round of UDC has been an Gone, Some great driving by all. Click HERE Sorry for the delay since my last post been quite busy with my new business. The picture on the left was taken at Mondello Park on the 8th April 2011. I had uploaded it to Google Images with the other shots I had taken that day for safe keeping. The following day I received an email from Google saying that they had selected it for their Google Images Gallery. I was chuffed to say the least. Now almost a year later the photo has been viewed 3979305 on the gallery. Seems like ages since I have been out with the camera, (Probably 4 Months) So I made my way to the newly revised Ultimate Drift Championship at Bishopscourt. Quite a chilly day with a low winter sun which did not make for great light for photographs, but managed to get a few. Click here to view the photo's. |
